Sampling pumps are pumps that are used to collect a sample either in a filter or in a tube of some absorbent material. These pumps resemble human respiration and are used in Occupational Health for the measurement of different parameters of exposure of the person to particulate matter, gases and / or vapors. These are used under methodologies such as the NIOSH which indicates the volumetric flow and the volume to be collected for each parameter that one wants to take a sample and specifies all the measurement parameters that must be considered for said compound. Pumps are usually approved equipment for potentially hazardous areas and are used to evaluate a worker's exposure to a contaminant.
