Air Quality Environmental Monitors

The monitoring of environmental parameters to determine air quality has been booming in recent decades, the negative effects on health and the cost associated with diseases generated by low air quality have made most countries focus their efforts in monitoring, controlling and improving the environmental conditions of their cities and in this way the quality of life of the population. The two main engines that have driven the measurement of air quality worldwide have been the European Community (EC) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the United States. Both have been responsible for developing different protocols and testing instrumentation to ensure the correct measurement of criteria pollutants to be able to know the environmental impact on air quality produced by human activities in large cities or significant populations. The environmental monitors for measuring air quality parameters usually have some type of approval or certification by either the EC or the US EPA who validate the correct operation of different equipment manufacturers in the measurement of certain compounds such as SO2, NOx, CO, O3, as well as particulate material. This ensures that these equipment meets all the necessary requirements to ensure the precision and accuracy required by these measures. There are several environmental monitors.
